The Bell City Rifle Club, Inc.

Friends of NRA Events

The NRA Foundation, through local committees, has been conducting fund-raising dinners for over 18 years generating millions of dollars to support national and local shooting related activities.  Profits from each dinner are split 50/50 between the state and national Friends of NRA organizations.  The state committees meet every January to review grant requests from local organizations sponsoring a variety of programs.  Bell City Rifle Club, Inc. has received 2 grants in past years; one for the purchase of equipment, and the second to upgrade our indoor range.  In total, Bell City has received $10,000 from this grant program.

You can support this very worthy cause by participating in a dinner near you.  There are eight local Friends of NRA committees in Connecticut, each conducting a dinner event at a different locale at different times of the year, so there's bound to be one convenient for you.

For the last few years, Bell City has had several tables of members at the Nutmeg Committee's dinner held at the Aqua Turf Restaurant in Southington.  The prime rib, shrimp or chicken dinners are outstanding, the camaraderie is uplifting, and the goods up for raffle or auction are high quality "must haves" - all for $50. This year's dinner will be on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 6 pm.  If you are interested in participating in an exciting evening contact an officer to purchase a ticket, or email  bcrcmembershipsec.@yahoo.com  before March 1, 2010 (ticket prices increase to $60 after that date).  A special bonus of this year’s dinner will be keynote speaker,  Wayne R. LaPierre,  Executive Vice President of the NRA.

As the dates and details of other CT Dinners are announced, we will include them in this article.  Check back!
